New survivor saying hello

Hi and welcome @TennBob , pleased to here that you are doing well in your recovery and wish you well on this journey hoping you reach all your goals. Mine was right sided ischemic and have some minor deficits in my left arm- still can’t get back out the bath/ tub but can do most things. Think I’ve replied to another post first but again welcome and I’m sure you can share from another perspective.

@TennBob , likewise (“no kings type”). As I mentioned before, everything is politicized nowadays.

As I said to one other, by the time my wife and I get to England next year, I fear that people will want nothing to do with us. Maybe I’ll wear my Springsteen shirt everywhere!

@susie1 Yes, crowds are an issue!

You’d have to wear it over a jumper and coat but looking thusly eccentric will allow you to fit in perfectly. Don’t forget to pop over to Wales if you and your wife have time.

We want to see all we can. I will ask for advice and tips from you all if/when it becomes a reality. Thanks!

@TennBob , that would be cool. For me, my attitude is “come one, come all”. I speak as the son of an Irish immigrant.

I’ve long said , as a English teacher, I won’t go to Ireland until I’ve read Ulysses, but, guess what, I listened the whole thing as an audio book (it was tremendous!) a couple of years ago, so I’m good to go! (Portrait and Dubliners, I’ve taught)

@TennBob , an excellent CV. You are definitely good to go. Audio books are great.
