You assume all physios are wonderful but they are not.
Don’t tell me what I should be doing you don’t know me you should keep your nose out of other people’s business.
Don’t write to me again or I will report you
@nerrad67 ManjiB is just trying to help you and whilst you may not think it the right advice for your situation right now everyone here is trying their best & offer their input with the best of intentions. We only get a brief picture of people’s issues on here & sometimes that means peoples advice might not be right for you.
Physios can be very hit & miss. I had a difficult relationship with my physio but I did do the exercises they gave me. But, as i think I’ve said previously, the things we do ourselves are ultimately what will get us the furthest. The physios have limited time & many people to see & they will give you tools & techniques to help you move forward. Your own exercise plan is a good idea. YouTube has a wealth of information that you’ll find useful.
To me he was telling me that I’m not doing enough to get a physio but it’s a bit hard when they’re not bothered to help.
I can do without people like him.
Am doing the best I can but when someone says I’m not doing enough I go ape.
The physio I had last wasn’t bothered.
So I’m focusing on what will work again and not what won’t
Put it this way Anne when someone says about addressing something it’s them telling me what I should be doing not advice.
You and Lorraine know how to talk to people he doesn’t.
Anyway hope your ok.
Lady today adjusted the splint then put it on tight when I got back i found I could walk around the kitchen and into the room unaided.
I hope it happens when I put my splint on
That sounds great. Well done on the unaided walking.
Thanks love I just hope I can put splint on the same as she has.
Am getting a cast for a new one next month so am getting plastered without getting drunk lol .
Cheap way to get plastered
You’ll work out how to get your splint on right. Progress is happening all the time.
Hope so.
Got a hand splint and my thumb went numb?
Is the splint too tight perhaps? Trapping a nerve?
Its fine Anne.
Just if I bend sometimes it happens its ok now.
My dad has just found out that he has emphysema so am worried.
If anything does happen.
I hope council will let me stay here.
I started living here on 29th of October last year.
When I did he lost all his discounts for this place.
Really hope your dad goes on ok. It might be worth speaking to council / citizens advice about the house position should anything happen. But hopefully it won’t come to that.
I have just looked at my legs and no matter what I do there is no way I will get my bad leg as chunky as my good leg
Give it tome. It is early days yet. Keep doing sit to stands, squats to strengthen it up.
How’s your dad?
Hi Anne
They have kept to using electric pump and increased the number above what used to really hurt him and he’s fine.
The number needs to be 0 and it’s 250 at moment.
He’s found someone to talk to in next bed and he loves his meals
It’s taken me 4 years to build the muscle in my stroke my stroke leg to more or less match my good leg. Its about there now but it does take a lot of hard work and persistence. Keep it up and you’ll get there too
Lorraine
Sounds like he is doing ok which is great news.
Thanks for the advice Lorraine.
As am able to wear my splint all day now thanks to adjustments made on Wednesday I cab now walk un kitchen without stick or holding on
Problem I have is that I have osteoarthritis since my 20s so am using voltarol like it’s going out of fashion on my good knee
Maybe your exercises for your stroke will help your good knee strenghten too & voltatol use will reduce a bit in turn.
