Hi & welcome to the community @MrsE sorry to hear of your mum’s stroke & the situation you find yourself in.

I can imagine you are in a lot of confusion at the moment and not really sure which way to turn.

I have copied in a couple of links to posts from people who have been in a similar situation to you. There may be some useful advice contained in them.

One thing I would say is you don’t need to make any decisions you’re not comfortable with right now. Give yourselves more time if that’s what you need. Hopefully you have an idea of your mum’s wishes in relation to her health but if not you know your mum well enough to have an idea I suspect.

If 2 consultants are saying different things that’s a good enough reason, in my opjnion, to ask for more time to see how your mum does. She may well start to improve.

Sending you strength & best wishes

Ann
