After nearly a month of gradual reductions in my dose I’m not using gabapentine anymore and noticed no changes in pain levels.
So in my circumstances the drug was not helping me much and its side effects have been more troubling than the additional pain I’ve endured.
I use paracetamol for all other pain relief and it seems to be giving me more of a balanced existence.
Having recently experienced over-medication for my blood pressure, with really alarming side effects, I’m all in favour of reducing meds whenever it’s safe to do so. Congratulations on cutting out the gabapentin, and three cheers for a more balanced existence!
Thanks it’s sometimes difficult t see the person you were through the doctors pills as in truth none in the medical field know much about strok recovery they just select pills from a ply book
