Penblwydd hapus I hope you got some other gifts to cheer you up, and that you have organised an ensuing birthday day without flu. I am to believe that some people like to have a birthday week.
Thanks Rupert
It’s almost a year since my stroke
It’s not been an easy year
Let’s hope next year is better
ciao, Roland
DeAnn, it’s the spoons metaphor all over again,
I mentioned similar in another post about walking distances, basically at the end of your day you should always have enough reserved energy in your back pocket for emergencies. That way you don’t burn out and you won’t lose the next two days recovering.
We are not 21 anymore, we can’t pull an all-nighter and get up all bright eyed and bushy tailed next day like we used to, so always keep something in reserve
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The only way is to actually experiment with your theory. But you’d probably really have to have someone to trick you into believing somehow/some way I suppose. But it’s certainly not like it could harm you in any way, so why not
It can only get better, and besides, you’re not allowed to get worse here
Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday! And I wish you many, many more.
You must have one healthy father-in-law!
My father’s aunt lived to the age of 100. She was mowing grass like a normal person at the age of 95. She was very unusual for her age. She moved better than a lot of people in their 60s and 70s. But, one day, she fell and died. She had a massive brain bleed. Even the healthiest of people die at some point.
My mother was a super healthy person all of her life until the age of 70. It bothers me that she lost 10-15 years or so of old life. Oh well…
Thanks Matthew
I’m glad your mother enjoyed 70 healthy years
ciao, Roland
Thank you, Roland. That’s how I try to look at things.
Keep moving those hips! (hip rotation).
I did 30 minutes of hip rotation today. I do it with an Indian mantra. Keeps me sane.
Take care
This feed is particularly helpful to me. So many great ideas, and thoughts to consider. Thank you all for sharing. I would put this feed in a top spot.
@pando I have been away a few days, but really want to wish you a happy birthday, albiet belated. I hope you are feeling much better now. My own 59th is coming later this month. Perhaps we can celebrate the entire month?
@Rups, you have given me much to think about! I will actually enjoy testing it, but I have a preconceived notion, and science to back it up, so I would already say "yes, we are different, and different approaches work for different people whether it involves your thought process, a physical, mental or emotional process, how medications or foods affect us as individuals vs. as a whole, etc…
@EmeraldEyes … now I will be reading/rereading about the spoons. I think I am afraid I will run out of time to accomplish all I hope to before I am gone, so I push…and push…and push away. But I can push faster and with better accuracy if I remember to rest awhile!
Thanks, Ann,
it was the worst birthday in my life, thanks to a massive cold which went around the family, and finally got to me.
Has to be a good thing exercising my immune system.
Still poorly, but thx for wishes
ciao, Roland
I am so very sorry to hear that, but birthday celebrations can be redone on any day. Pick one a day for the DoOver Party. I redid my 50th on my 51st, because it sucked. 51 was better than ever. Just went to my friends 15th annual 36th birthday party. Why limit ourselves? I suspect all here know a bit about the importance of enjoying ourselves as much as possible.
Aye, I agree with @DeAnn, have an unbirthday instead, as Lewis Carroll might suggest.
