Because it is still relatively early. I know my sense of taste came back in the first year but balance improvement is relatively recent, some 2½ post stroke. There’s still plenty of time, we just need lots and lots patience

I’m 3 yrs past
My taste took maybe 18 months to mostly normalise. Eggs still taste of saccharine but chicken (etc) taste of chicken (etc) now
Is there a phrase you think is better than an “early days”? I guess the reason for “continually” is that very many of us have found that time addresses challenges that people who are recent arrivals ask about so many of us are grasping for the some expression as a message of comfort from the same circumstances
I’d guess we would be willing to adopt any equal or better alternatives
