Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

I have found this on YouTube, which shows an example of a hoovers test. It’s quite complicated to explain so thought this might be better.

This is taken from the internet too..

"A positive Hoover’s sign indicates functional weakness, typically in the leg, where apparent weakness in one leg disappears when the other leg is raised. This suggests the weakness is not due to a structural or neurological problem, but rather a functional one, possibly related to a functional neurological disorder (FND). "

My stroke consultant did a hoovers test on me. Said I had functional limb weakness and that was the end of that. Have had no follow up etc. I did have some nerve tests sometime later which showed my nerves were ok..

I hope you manage to get some answers soon. The not knowing is the worst.
