There are also some INVENTIONS that we found out we could do without. They were either impractical, unappealing, too expensive, dangerous or unmarketable.

The Segway was supposed to change the way we navigated cities. Unveiled in 2001, it was billed as the next big thing in personal transportation, an eco-friendly alternative to cars.

Google GlassBack in 2013, Google introduced Glass, a wearable, voice-activated pair of glasses that let you access the web, take photos, and even get directions.

Now that hairdryer is something else. I might give buying one a miss. :grin:

Some people like to do hair raising & DANGEROUS activities. Me I prefer a quieter life.

A HAIR-RAISING event is something that alarms, astonishes or frightens. In any case, the reaction is universal.

Often when we CELEBRATE we like to have cake. Yum. It isn’t just us humans who like cake.

While most everyone likes CAKE, some people consider baking a cake to be a work of art.


Wow those cakes are very artistic.

Some people also think baking bread can also be a work of ART.

Most of us when we think about a person going to WORK, think about someone going to an office, a restaurant, a hospital, a store, etc., but some people put their lives on the line every time they go to work.


Eeeeek I think I’ll give those jobs a miss :grimacing::grimacing: my office job is much more appealing :grin:

It’s always nice when someone invites you to go for a meal particularly if they let you chose the RESTAURANT too. My first choice is a curry house but there are many fine choices out there.

HOUSEwork can be a chore but here are some people who seem to enjoy it.

For some kids doing homework is a CHORE.

For others it’s a fun challenge.

Life can sometimes be a CHALLENGE bug still people like seeking out more challenges.

It can be really frustrating to be SEEKING something and not be able to find it.


Some people are ABLE to so things whilst other people just can’t do the same thing.

We all like to get a new hair DO once in a while–even our furry friends!

This one hasn’t gone to the beauty parlor yet.

Some of those hairdos :scream: poor animals.

People have HAIR in all different styles some tame and sedate others completely wild.

Like Hair styles, some pets are SEDATE,

while others are not!
