When one in is need every OFFERING is a treasure.
On of the things that make a child so delightful is their sense of WONDER about even the simplest of things.
Oh yes. Totally agree.
CHILDREN have no filter and often ask embarrassing questions at inappropriate times. How often do you see a CHILD in the supermarket say something embarassing & you want the ground to swallow you ip.
All the time! When I was two, I turned to a man and said, “You have a funny face!” I bet my mother wanted the GROUND to swallow her up!. But , No one really wants the ground to swallow them up, but that can happen with sink holes!

SWALLOWS are small, agile birds that often return nest in the same area each year. They spendmost of their time in the air.
Birds built so many different types of NESTS. The Red Ovenbird builds an unusual nest that resembles an oven– out of bits of straw and clay.
Very unusual.
When it is time for children to leave home some parents can develop empty nest syndrome.
Others are happy to see them go.
A child can feel a little scared when it’s time to LEAVE home. I never thought about this before, but I think animals can feel the same way.
It must be very scary for the animals too.
Anyone can have a house but it takes something special to turn that house into a HOME.
There are so many SPECIAL moments in life. One of them is when you learn to ride your first two-wheel bicycle for the first time.
@Mrs5K post-stroke i’m struggling with empty nest syndrome as my fiercely independent three daughters get on with their lives and i’m no longer ‘needed’. I feel rather useless having dedicated myself to them for 25 years!
I think it is common to feel like that but you must have done a great jobof bringing them up so that they can be independent. They clearly think the world of you too.
After mastering the 2 wheeled BIKE the next trick is to learn how to ride a unicycle. I doubt I could master it.
Daredevils are always trying to come up with a new TRICK. The motorcycle ones look so dangerous. I don’t don’t know what motivates people (usually young men) to try it.
Eek that is scary.
DAREDEVILS will try anythjng. I am not sure if this guy is brave or stupid or just a lover of dangerous activities.
I think he’s being stupid! I’ve noticed that most things that are BRAVE are also stupid, if you’re an adult. But sometimes it’s just ignorance about our own mortality, or ignorance about the consequences of actions, especially in the case of children.
This little guy would really like to take a BITE of this watermelon. “Better you can’t eat the whole thing!”
