The other day I was tiding up the branches I cut off the apple tree i.e. snipping off the small twiglets and hoping to find a branch that I could use to make a walking stick from and when I lifted one of the branches, sitting on there was several ladybirds. I think they must have been sleeping as they did not fly off when I disturbed the branch. I left it as I didn’t want to wake them up

You are very kind to them. We are overrun with ladybirds at the minute. An explosion of them this year. Everytime I go upstairs i find another dozen of them crawling around
