Very true Bobbi! And such an inspirational quote! I could do with some of it myself having just survived a dental appointment driven to by my long suffering ( and boy does he let me know it) husband!
In that spirit I went to the local Riding for the disabled centre in Burnley and met the staff and some of the horses.
First Time I’ve been near a horse in 23 years.
I may get a lesson or two , the horse is able to bodied and has good eyesight so no need to rely on my deficits.
I enjoyed meeting them and did a marathon walk into the yard from the car park.
You did a marathon walk…Nice one
. I tried horse riding many, many years ago. Once is enough for me.
Hi
I feel your pain having been down the same route and having failed to get my licence back.
Like you I depended on my car to access many activities that were now not possible to access.
I am an OAP with a travel pass which has been a lifeline since I can do shopping ,access social events etc.
Travel further afield has been by coach or train.
I walk much more than in the past which has been good for my health and fitness.
Tony
Thanks Tony I’m intent on mastering my new wheelchair and an upgraded scooter , as one avenue closes another option opens
@mrfrederickson , fair play. A great outlook on life.
