Complications after a stroke

Anyone here had to go for blood tests for possible Polycythaemia

Hi @Jeffers
Nobody has mentioned it in the ,000s of posts previously made :frowning:

Sadly you can’t search on just the common “PV”

It’s possible that others have but haven’t said…

BUT

there are more than 50 post about it on

Just use the :mag: at the top of the page

Where the search for PV and for Polycythaemia in full both work

Ps hello & welcome

Hi @Jeffers & welcome to the community. Hope you are doing ok.

Has Polycythaemia been suggested following a stroke? I got diagnosed with MGUS following my stroke which is a blood condition where I generate paraproteins in my blood that shouldn’t be there. I had lots of blood tests and it was an incidental finding which I am now monitored for regularly.

Hopefully your bloods come back ok but if not at least you’ll be treated/monitored for the condition.

Best wishes

Ann

Hello Jeffers,

Wheatgrass juice is your friend. Once you down it, your body substitutes MG for Fe (magnesium or iron) and you have fresh blood. Research it and dig deep (otherwise you’ll miss the point), and you will find answers. Hope you overcome things, Good luck,
