Care home after rehab?

Thanks. I’ll get in touch tomorrow. Possibly, you have been told about PIP (Personal Independence Payment), non means-tested benefit paying for help with care and mobility. At 55 years of age, your husband will be eligible to claim. I can help. Take care.

Hi there - I don’t think he can claim PIP unless he’s at home?

As you are finding out, everything seems to take ages, especially with current pressures on the DWP.
Allowing the mobility element when somebody is in a care home and not reliant on state funding is meant to make it possible to do things which enhance their quality of life and care.

Sorry, the mobility element in PIP is payable if the person is or isn’t reliant on state funding.

So does that mean it’s not means tested?
