I found Wordle a little difficult today. Mainly because I struggled to think of other words that fitted with the 2 letters I found initially. After some wracking of the brains I did eventually get there. I’m still not sure what my new starter word will be. One more day to think about it.
Wordle 1,441 4/6
Once again with connections the first 2 came ok although took a bit of thinking about today. The 3rd one I had a bit of an idea but wasn’t sure what words might fit into it. So I did a bit of trial and error – 2 words I was sure about and then I just tried the others at random and struck lucky. So got them in the end.

Puzzle #719
Waffle I was down to 1* today.
All achieved after some brain wracking so happy to get them.
Connections were good today. I managed the first 2 ok which then made the 3rd one a bit easier. No 4 happened by default & whilst I should have known it i doubt I would have got it.

Puzzle #720
Wordle was ok too. Although did take me a while to think of a word with the 2 letters I had at the end of the word.
Similar results for me today - got them all and they came relatively easily.
I even got all the connections as they were listed which is very unusual for me.
Got 4 * on the Waffle too.

Don’t want to tempt fate, but Wordle is getting too easy !!
I got Wordle in 3 today although I nearly forgot to change my starter word. I have chosen one starting with a vowel this time as words starting with a vowel I find more difficult. It worked well for today.
Wordle 1,443 3/6
Connections I found tough today. I had to leave them and come back to it. I got into my head that one connection was bank account related which sent me down a rabbit hole. I did get them all in the end though.
Can’t explain how it works and still not consistent but sleeping on it seems to work most times.
I looked at connections last night and nothing. Just looked at it again and solved it all in a couple of minutes

Puzzle #721
Wordle I had last night - I am supposed to use today’s word for tomorrow’s starter but forget to write it down and so it is random starters but regardless the winning run continues
Wordle 1,443 3/6*
Waffle - just the 1 * today as I messed it up a bit.
Connections was ok today. I managed the yellow set ok then had to go away and think about it as couldn’t see another connection. Then whilst I was doing other stuff I had a flash of inspiration and got the purple set which then made the 3rd set a lot more obvious and the 4th set solved itself.
Connections
Puzzle #722
Wordle I did in 3 again so was very happy with that. I am not sure I am finding it too easy just yet as I often have to think really hard about my 2nd guess – sometimes having some letters can be more of a hindrance
Wordle 1,444 3/6
Waffle I did with 1* remaining so not quite as good today.
I had kind of given up on the connections after getting one this morning (having slept on it) and then failing on the next one. I left it and just now decided to have one last try and failed on the first attempt and then something clicked and in the end the rest also fell into place though the logic was different to that suggested by the puzzle setter.

Wordle - easy as always - I am asking for trouble now!!
Wordle 1,444 3/6*
Waffle 4 * finish
Soverall, a very nice day solving puzzles (and Riddles - your solution is pretty much what came to mind as soon as I read it - why knock on your own door, other than if your partner was in the room and you had stepped out for some reason?)
Well done on solving everything yesterday. Seems that leaving it and returning later sometimes works well. I think the riddle was a little bit easier than the previous one. Although not seen the answer yet
Not for me today. It was a tough one and it just didn’t happen. I got the first lot of connections although still don’t know what Copacetic means. I didn’t get the rest. What is a tennis bracelet?
Connections
Puzzle #723
Wordle I managed in 5 – just couldn’t get started with it.
Wordle 1,445 5/6
And waffle was a failure too.
I woke up very tired this morning and guess that didn’t help but no excuses I’ll try again tomorrow.
Oh no! Too many puzzles and riddles causing brain to work harder and getting fatigued?
The fatigue must have something to do with your results - you’ve been doing really well recently.
I too was unfamiliar with the term copacetic but did get the connection for that set. As for tennis bracelet - again never heard of it, but Googled it just now and it seems it is a term attributed to Chris Evert who lost a diamond bracelet mid-play and the umpire stopped the match to allow Chris Evert to look for the bracelet!!
Regardless of the ignorance, I did manage to get everything done and connections were hard and luckily it did not matter I didn’t know what a tennis bracelet was as that was part of the default set (coincidence with a set of tennis!)
I think fatigue is probably playing a part but I suspect it is work making that worse although of course all brain activity feeds into it. Tomorrow is my non working day so I can take things a bit easier and at the weekend we are off on holiday so can properly rest once we land the other side. Airport assistance is booked & taxi to airport which all help with the travel fatigue.
The puzzles are a bit of light relief after a day at work.
Well done on getting them all today and educating me on tennis bracelet. They do have dome bizarre connections.
Wordle went ok for me again today. 4 attempts. Took me ages to work put the last missing letter as none of the consonants left fitted then I realised I could reuse one of the vowels I had already used.
Wordle 1,446 4/6
Connections wasn’t so successful. I got the first one after a bit of pondering. Then I had to leave it a bit to get any more. I sort of thought it was a musical connection but couldn’t work out the 4th one so took a couple of lives to get that one. Then the other 2 just didn’t come.
A bit like the weather today - miserable.
Connections, should have done better once answers revealed, but wasn’t thinking clearly about the second group - which I knew but couldn’t get the 4th element.
Wordle - now looking for “obscure” words once a few letters are know which usually are vowels.
Had a nice run with the puzzles today though the Waffle was just 3 *
Connections a breeze - learning all about dogs doing this puzzle , Wordle fye - when I first saw this used in an e-mail from my boss, I thought it was a typo i.e. fyi, but no, I looked it up and it was not a typo. I have gone on to use it myself on occasions

Have a wonderful weekend and a lovely holiday - recharge those batteries
Well, today I had some success. Connections came very easily today. I think that was the fastest I have ever solved them. Took me less than a minute I think. The puzzle setter must have been feeling kind

Wordle I did in 4 – I used your tactic of trying to think of more obscure words. It seems to have been a week of obscure words and today was no different.
Wordle 1,448 4/6
Waffle was 3*s today so happy with that too. Although I always aim for 5 it isn’t always possible.
Batteries officially in recharge mode now. Have a good weekend too. Hope the sun stays shining.
