Connections
Puzzle #665
Was close again with Wordle but got there. I always forget you can use a letter twice.
I think the Wordle is doable as there are unlimited guesses when for example you are not sure, you can type a word and if it is invalid, you don’t lose a turn like you do on connections. That said, it is not often when I need to guess at words - usually I know the word, it’s just a question of if it is the word of the day. Wow, I just noticed there are four consecutive two letter words in my last sentence. Not sure if I have seen that before. “of if it is”
Yes, it’s nice to have the sun out.
I can take Mum out on the decking to get some rays of sun on her face. It seems to cheer her up.
Hopefully, soon I will be able to take her for a spin round the block. We did it last year and she really enjoyed it.
Take care.
Time for a late afternoon cuppa
Well done - you seem to be getting a better grip on the connections than me.

Puzzle #669
Close but not quite.
Did OK as in completed the Wordle
Wordle 1,391 5/6*
I am much more comfortable with Wordle - I feel this month’s starter word is making it more challenging. Clearly, the starter word makes a [big] difference.
Mum was OK, but I think it tired her out so we will have to ease her in.
I managed wordle and connections ok today. My starter word is making it difficult to find follow up words but I am getting there & it is giving my brain a workout.
I got the 1st connection quickly & then once I had got the stars connection it got much easier.

Puzzle #670
Wordle 1,392 4/6
How is your mum finding the revitive medic. It is something my hubby keeps saying I should try but I’m not sure.
I had to sleep on connections as it was a blank when I first looked at it. I solved the Wordle and then just now I solved the Connections after a small hiccup.
Connections
Puzzle #670
Wordle 1,392 6/6*
I am dreading the day when I fail to solve the Wordle as I now feel it is totally solvable every time
The rules of the English language i.e. vowels and positions of consonants in relation and also the fact there are only five letters in the word make it pretty much an optimal puzzle.
Mum has been using Revitive Medic for some time now and we feel it definitely helps her especially as she is not weight bearing on her feet/legs.
We have the knee version (top of the range) but haven’t used the knee pads yet.
I think it is worth the investment - it’s a good [quality] product and it is simple to use. I bought it after seeing it on TV when it was advertised by (Sir) Ian Botham and I felt he is the sort of person who would not lend his name to a product that was not worthy. I was right
Before the revitive, one of Mum’s physios had recommended we buy another EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) device and we tried it with limited success. That was a TENS+ device.
Does that help?
Also, if you are interested, I bought an earthing strap as championed by Roland and that also worked for Mum. I am happy with both these aids and wish I had come across them earlier in Mum’s journey post stroke.
I was on a roll with connections today. They worked out much easier than yesterday.

Puzzle #672
Wordle was a little harder despite having got the 1st two letters straight away. It was process of elimination based on the letters left but should have got it easier really given what the word is.
I got back on track with the connections - I feel I’m OK or have a chance except when it is Americanised. Wordle OK again and I am now really getting fearful of the day when my run is broken.
