Arm recovery advice from Saebo

Saebo make various devices for stroke recovery, I have the Saebo Stim 1 that I find very easy to use, they also have a podcast on Apple of motor Imagery recordings for free.
Lots of good advice below, especially point 6 on repetition

I use the Saebo Stim regularly and find it helps significantly. It’s so smell that I can wear it while I’m out and about. Some Physio’s have access to them too

I whole heartedly agree with point 6, repetition is tantamount to recovery. That’s why you need to be doing everything as normal as possible right from day one. It’s damned hard work, we all know that, but even the silly little things like reaching for your cuppa is a repetition. Even though you can’t move your arm away from the handbag position or open your hand to grasp the handle, you still need to be going through the motions of the task.

There is a whole switchboard of signals and connections to be made just to perform that action in the brain, and they all needed to be constant repetition in order to reawaken the natural instinct, to relearn and solidify them to memory.
