I always call you lot - ‘You lot’ and usually you answer to it.
When I was still in hospital after my stroke, a gentleman from the local Stroke group visited the ward. He told me all about the Stroke Association web site, he gave me a wallet with lots of detail and stroke info, highlighting all local services. He told me he was member of the local stroke club and invited me to join them after my discharge. Seems we are lucky here? Best wishes Norma

I received a similar wallet. Practical issues stopped me from joining the group when I came home.
At the beginning of this year I tried to join and was told that by April it would no longer meet. So I missed out there.
More recently I was told that a few members of the group were arranging a regular meet for themselves.
Unfortunately they are not set up to take on any new people right now. Disappointment again but things might change.
I attend a couple of regular Zoom type meetings and that will have to do for me for now.

I’m writing a few books at the moment, I’m currently illustrating them with flux.. most revolve around either surviving a stroke or abuse as topics i understand and can write about from that genuine viewpoint.. current bqatch includes female detective novels dealing with the occult and paranormal, scifi/dystopian and a scooby doo kinda gang of teen detectives I also colourise historical and family photos.. when going through therapy for childhood traumas it was all trauma poetry..
at this point My wife and I are building a studio in the garden so she can create (sew) crochet, knit and i can create/write.. Im very much also into LLMs and designing a small presence module for one that looks like a ladies compact in the vein of nokias lipstick shaped phone..
just wanted to add that being creative has helped the damage to my mental health being processed through my nhs trust, i did start a whinge fest biography about my experience, but thats not really who I am so that has now evolved since the AD vote into a dystopian novel set in a eugenicist loving society.. that one is more trauma informed offloading..
