Halfords shopping.
I went o Halfords to buy a foot pump to inflate my car tyres and some brake fluid.
While the walking was painful I managed to get in and out okay.
The only issue was the automatic door which had a short close time period and I was not quick enough getting in or out
It meant it closed on me as I crossed the threshold and on the way out nearly knocked me down.
you hoped to be more stable after 4 years, but I bet you’re more stable than you were 2 years ago, right? Bottom line : Well done for surviving the door incident.
Oh dear that must have been a bit scary !!. Glad to hear that you are ok and you haven’t lost your sense of humour. .
I’ve nearly been chopped in half getting in and out of a lift on a couple of occasions and it has thrown me off balance. Pleased to say it hasn’t stopped us going out though .
I will say that I’m finding shopping quite a challenge at the moment with the crowds of shoppers and the additional amount of merchandise displayed on the shop floors. Glad it’s only this busy at Christmas .
Happy shopping everyone and stay safe in the latest storm.
Thanks Roland and yes my stability was not so good 2 years ago nearly fell down a drain grate in the dark on route to a restaurant one evening, even so recovered well from the jolt.
I suppose the sliding door bump was difficult as the hi came fro my righ forcing me on to a painful left that was exhausted so reaction was poor. Normally my bulk can see off most doors on lifts and the like but yesterday’s incident had me ambushed.
I went to the mobility shop the other week and the assistant had to dance in the doorway becauae the doors closed too quickly. The irony of that in a mobility shop wasn’t lost on me.
